Health Care Providers
Twin Cities Community Hospital announces the introduction of a new Senior Care emergency room program designed to meet the unique needs of its elderly patients.
As part of the initiative, the staff completed an intensive educational course training them in the field of working with the senior population. In addition to the staff’s resulting heightened sensitivities to this community, the hospital has introduced several new amenities as part of their Senior Care program, including more comfortable, pressure-relieving mattresses that are lower to the ground; larger clocks in designated rooms and larger print on the admitting forms; hearing amplifications devices; a special admitting line for seniors; and physicians and staff that will be available to spend more time with senior patients. The Senior Care program is now implemented and all seniors who receive care in our Emergency Department will receive the benefits of this new service.
