OUR 2021 New Year’s Resolution
By: Josh Cross, Interim CEO & President of the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce
We kicked off 2021 running here at the Chamber. As a team, we’ve focused our efforts on supporting and advocating for programs that support and help empower our incredible business community. Our New Year’s goal is to continue to seek out and advocate for new opportunities that empower our business community.
In keeping with our New Year’s resolution, at the start of 2021, the team and I partnered with the Atascadero City and North County Economic Foundation to raise donations and awareness for the City’s Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Fund Program. We were thrilled to support a program that gave out much-needed grants to local businesses in our community that had been impacted by December’s shelter-in-place order.
Once the Atascadero’s City grant fund program came to an end, our team shifted our focus to raising awareness for new federal and state support for local businesses. We worked to engage the community with opportunities like the California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program and the re-opening of the PPP. (Speaking of which, round two of applications for the California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program begin February 2nd. While the re-opening of the PPP is currently ongoing.) If you have any questions regarding current support for local businesses, please give the team a call, (805) 466-2044.
Last but not least, I’m excited to share that the Chamber launched five new private offices in BridgeWorks Coworking in downtown Atascadero. The goal is to make it easier than ever for our Atasca-mazing community to live where they work and foster new business growth and entrepreneurship. I know that investing in our businesses’ growth and success will lead to higher employment in Atascadero and a great living experience for residents in our town. These new offices include Private Offices, Manager Offices, and an Executive Suite—are all priced affordably, includes utilities and plenty of perks to support our business community. If you are interested, please email Info@AtascaderoChamber.org, or call at (805) 466-2044. The team and I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have or schedule a tour.
I can’t say I know how 2021 will unfold, but I do know that the one thing you can count on is that your Chamber is doing its best to look out for our phenomenal, local business community. If there is anything we can do to help support your business, please reach out to our team at (805) 466-2044 or at Josh@AtascaderoChamber.org; the team and I are here to help.
