Atascadero Fall Fest features headliners Pato Banton and Los Hermanos Mendoza, and the Colony Days Parade is joining Fall Fest.
The Fall Fest Experience
The fifth annual Atascadero Fall Festival will take place Friday, November 14th, through Sunday, November 16th, at the Sunken Gardens in Atascadero! The event schedule is Friday, from 4 – 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, the event is open from 12 – 10 p.m. The family-friendly, free-admission event will feature:
- A Carnival with rides and games.
- 40+ bands on 2 stages.
- Over 60 food and merchant vendors!
This year, the event organizers have focused on bringing in more carnival rides, headliners, and special entertainment nights. Friday, November 14th, is Country Night featuring Jayden Secor, Stephen Styles Band, The Mother Corn Shuckers, and headlining is Los Hermanos Mendoza. Adding to the fun will be the Central Coast’s finest line dance instructor, Vanessa Robertson.
Los Hermanos Mendoza is a first-generation Mexican-American country band comprised of three brothers. Born in Ventura and raised in the agricultural heartland of Bakersfield, the brothers grew up surrounded by the rich musical heritage of the region. Inspired by legends like Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and Dwight Yoakam, as well as the regional Mexican sounds of Ramon Ayala, Los Tigres del Norte, Vicente Fernandez, and Joan Sebastian, they’ve set out to create a sound that bridges cultures, reviving the Bakersfield Sound while embracing their Mexican roots.
A New Addition To The Central Coast Festival
On Saturday, November 15th, Colony Days, the annual Community Celebration, will continue the annual parade tradition beginning at 10 a.m. The route will take place around the downtown area surrounding the Sunken Gardens.
“To be able to welcome Colony Days into the Fall Festival weekend was a no-brainer,” said event organizer and co-owner of En Fuego Events, Andres Nuño. “We know how important Colony Days is to the community, and we are excited to be able to enhance the weekend. We encourage families to join us after the parade ends, and our scheduled 12 p.m. opening will be perfectly aligned with the end of the parade.”
Atascadero Fall Festival Entertainment Line Up
The entertainment on Saturday will kick off with an 80s and 90s Dance Party on the Visit Atascadero Main Stage featuring: Ultra, Way Out West, Club DV8, and the 90s Babiez! DJ Sets by Traffic Records will happen throughout the weekend. Saturday evening is Reggae Night featuring local band True Zion, and Reggae Legend and Icon, Pato Banton. Pato Banton is a Grammy-nominated reggae legend who has recorded and toured the world with The English Beat, Steel Pulse, UB40, and Sting, amongst many others. Pato’s concerts are upbeat, positive, energetic, and family-friendly. He travels all over the world, and now he will host a free concert at the Atascadero Fall Fest.
“Having Pato come back and do this free concert during the Atascadero Fall Festival is going to be amazing for the community,” said event organizer and co-owner of En Fuego Events, Andres Nuño. “We had a lot of people reach out hoping to have him come back and play the Fall Fest, and we are excited we finally were able to make it happen.”
Sunday starts with Fiesta Sunday featuring: Flor de Luna Folkorico dancers and two Norteño bands, La Nave Especial and Equipo Elite. The event ends with the Funk ‘n’ Rock the Block Party featuring Wordsauce, False Puppet and Carbon City Lights.
