A longtime Morro Bay business is entering a new chapter while remaining in local hands.
A-1 Glass, a reputable locally owned, family-operated business out of Paso Robles has acquired Central Coast Glass in Morro Bay, ensuring that one of the Central Coast’s trusted glass companies will continue serving the community under the ownership of another.
The transition comes as longtime owner Gale Leage enters retirement after 32 years of serving homeowners, businesses, contractors, and property managers throughout Morro Bay and the coastal community.
Following decades of serving the Central Coast, Gale Leage shared his confidence in the transition. “After over 3 decades serving this community, it was important to me to find someone who would care for my customers and continue the values that Central Coast Glass was built on,” said Gale Leage. “I believe that Bryan and his team at A-1 Glass shares that same commitment to quality, honesty, and local customer service, and I’m confident they’ll continue taking great care of the Morro Bay and coastal communities for years to come.”
Customers can continue to rely on the Morro Bay glass shop’s location at 440 Quintana Road for the trusted residential and commercial glass services they’ve come to expect, while now also benefiting from the expanded capabilities of A-1 Glass. Customers will benefit from A-1 Glass’ experienced installation teams, expanded inventory, and a new window and door showroom location coming soon.
In addition to replacement windows, doors, shower enclosures, mirrors, and custom glass, A-1 Glass is excited to offer full-service mobile and in shop automotive glass repair and replacement, advanced ADAS windshield calibration, and professional automotive, residential, and commercial window tinting and architectural film solutions—services that were not previously available through Central Coast Glass.
“As a resident of Morro Bay myself, I’m excited to take care of the local and trusted relationships that Central Coast Glass has built over the years in this area while providing even more of our unique service offerings,” says Bryan Carroll, owner of A-1 Glass, “it’s an honor to take the new lead on what Gale created, and we’re just so grateful for the opportunity to carry that legacy forward.”
The expansion marks an exciting milestone for A-1 Glass as it continues investing in the Central Coast while remaining committed to the values that have built the company to what it is today: exceptional craftsmanship, honest communication, and treating every customer like a neighbor.
“We’re excited for what the future holds,” Carroll added, “not only does this allow us to better serve the Coastal communities as a more localized glass shop with quicker response times and reduced travel expenses, we also can better serve South County residents as well. Not everyone wants to drive up and over the grade to our large window and door showroom in Paso Robles, and now everyone can more easily access our products and services.”
