In 2025, SLO Credit Union proudly continued its tradition of giving back to the Central Coast community—living our motto of banking with a credit union that cares. This year was marked by meaningful partnerships, hands-on volunteering, and heartfelt support for local causes that reflect our credit union philosophy of “people helping people.”
Our team members showed their community spirit by volunteering with and attending events hosted by local Chambers of Commerce, strengthening relationships with the businesses and organizations that make our towns thrive. We were honored to sponsor the Hope for ALSP fundraising event, supporting research and families impacted by this rare disease. Our employees also laced up their sneakers to join the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, helping raise awareness and funds for those affected by memory loss.
We took part in ECHO Empty Bowls, helping fight hunger and housing insecurity, and participated in the Boys and Girls Club of Central Coast’s Back-a-Youth Night, mentoring local students and encouraging future community leaders.
As the year draws to a close, we’re collaborating with neighboring credit unions to support the San Luis Obispo Social Services Resource Hub through the Investing in Kindness Toy Drive. Together, we’re ensuring that local children experience the joy of the season.
