As the weather heats up so do the activities coming to our community. The Chamber staff and amazing Central Coast RESERVE committee have worked tireless hours to bring you the finest event in the North County this spring. This Saturday, June 22nd, the Atascadero Lake Park will be transformed into a cornucopia of wine, cider, beer and distilleries to entertain and educate our community and visitors showcasing North County’s finest. Food vendors and musicians will be on hand making sure it’s an event not to be missed!
We continue to bring you monthly mixers every 3rd Thursday of the month hosted by one of our fabulous business members each month. The four chambers mixer (Paso, Atascadero, Templeton and San Miguel) will be on July 11th at the Printery Building. Stay tuned for details. Our Good Morning Atascadero breakfasts and our Leaders Luncheons are on hold for the summer and will resume in September.
Tuesdays in the Park started up again on June 11th at the Atascadero Lake Park. A BBQ dinner prepared by the Atascadero Elks Lodge from 5 to 7 pm will support a different local non-profit each time. Live music can be enjoyed from 7 to 8 pm. Tuesdays in the Park happen each Tuesday in the summer ending on August 6, 2019.
Our Chamber and the Business Improvement District recently met to insure a strong alliance to enhance the visibility and marketability of our downtown businesses.
Stay tuned for events and promotions happening in the downtown area. And remember to shop local and shop often. My first 37 days have been met with a whirlwind of activities and learning about our community, staff and events happening. Many alliances and partnerships are forming. I’m fortunate to have a great staff, Vicki Lee, Kristie Steele, new to our organization, Stacey Medema and Brooke Briner. I’d like to thank the Atascadero Community for putting your faith in me to lead the efforts to empower OUR business community. I’m always accessible to you all if you have questions, concerned or just want to chat!
