by Emily Reneau, President & CEO, Atascadero Chamber
My first (almost) 3 months on the job of CEO/President for the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce has been met with much activity! We enjoyed a successful Central Coast RESERVE experience in June. The Experience began on Wednesday, June 19th with a Tap Takeover at Farmer’s Market. Thursday we had a fantastic mixer hosted by Tom and Peggy O’Malley at the Portola Inn. Friday the Kiwanis Club held their sold out winemaker dinner at the Lakeside Pavilion. Saturday started with the Optimist’s golf tournament followed by the yoga and mimosa event (Wine’d down) sponsored and produced by Kennedy Club Fitness. Then the signature event, the Atascadero Lakeside Wine Festival featuring 80 wineries, cideries, breweries, art, food and vendors was the perfect crescendo the overall experience. Sunday, guests of the Saturday event had the opportunity to enjoy “Sunday Funday” with complimentary tasting at participating wineries.
I’ve already learned that this is no downtime for me and my staff. Just last week, we enjoyed hosting the 4 Chamber mixer at the Printery building. It was great to see Paso, Templeton and San Miguel come together with our Chamber to enjoy comradery, food and wine while learning about the plans for the building housing a community theatre. We are now gearing up for the next Art, Wine and Brew event happening on August 9th in downtown Atascadero. This event’s theme will be Summertime Sips and promised to be an event you won’t want to miss.
The Paso Robles, Atascadero and Templeton Chamber are coming together again to bring you the 2019 State of the North County. We hope you join us on August 28th at the Paso Robles Ballroom at 8:30 am for an informative progress report from government leaders who will provide local economic updates that affect our North County residential and business communities. This year’s program will focus on workplace solutions. Contact our office or the Paso Robles Chamber office for tickets and information.
Lastly, save the date for the Atascadero Marketplace. The Marketplace will be held at Springhill Suites on September 19th. Are you interested in a booth? Reserve your space today! Call the Chamber office for more information and reservations. Stay tuned for developing details.
As I mentioned to my board at our meeting last week, I appreciate the overwhelming reception and support I have received from the Atascadero community. Thank you for hanging in there with me as I learn and become comfortable in the new role. If at anytime you have feedback for me or just want to chat, my door is always open!
Happy July everyone!
