by Emily Reneau, President & CEO, Atascadero Chamber
This November we are thankful for OUR business community and the growth we are seeing now and coming up in the future. Our community is truly Atascamazing and I am happy for all the support I have been given in the last 6 months as I acclimate myself to the role of President/CEO of the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce.
In the last 6 months we have increased our occupancy at our BridgeWorks co-working space. Now at 75% occupancy with very little marketing, we have the potential to be filled to capacity in 2020. The feedback from our BridgeWorks members has been very positive. The energy in the space is contagious and spills over into the activities at the Chamber office. Please spread the word as the model for this space is for our BridgeWorks members to become successful in their start ups and move to a space of their own, making turn over inevitable.
Mark your calendar for January 9th from 6:30 – 8 pm. We will be hosting a Candidate’s forum for the San Luis Obispo County Supervisor’s race between Supervisor Debbie Arnold and Ellen Beraud. The forum will be held at the United Methodist Church. Come learn about your candidates for San Luis Obispo’s 5th district. A newsletter introducing the candidates will be available at the Chamber office the first part of December.
We will host our monthly business mixer at Give Fitness this coming Thursday, November 21 from 5:30 to 7 pm. Please also mark your calendar for January 25th, 2020 when we will celebrate OUR businesses and community leaders at our Annual Dinner. Be on the lookout for your invitation!
