Atascadero City Manager, Rachelle Rickard

by Emily Reneau, President & CEO, Atascadero Chamber

Fall is here and mornings are chilly! However activities are still heating up in Atascadero. I had the opportunity to judge the Tent City displays during Colony Days the first weekend in October. It was very educational, learning about the history of Atascadero and how the pioneers lived in OUR town. I was proud to represent the Chamber and be included in such a thoughtful and exciting event.

The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors held their annual retreat this past week. The day was filled with updates on the current state of the Chamber and strategic planning for 2020. Plans are well underway to add more programs and seminars in order to support OUR business community. Our BridgeWorks co-working space continues to be a focus as we develop a robust marketing plan and work with our existing BridgeWorks members to learn how we can enhance their experience. A business walk was also planned for the Spring of 2020. More details on that to come.

We will host our monthly business mixer at the Santa Lucia Sportsmen’s Association this coming Thursday, October 17th from 5:30 to 7pm. OUR downtown businesses will celebrate Trick or Treat on Entrada on Halloween night. Bring the kids for a safe and fun trick or treating experience. Please also mark your calendar for January 25th, 2020 when we will celebrate OUR businesses and community leaders at our Annual Dinner. This year’s dinner will be held at the Pavilion on the Lake. Call us at 805.466.2044 to reserve your table today!
