With the start of 2023 at the Atascadero Chamber and our 100th-year anniversary, I’m excited to share that our team has launched the Jr. CEO program. This new program will provide elementary, and junior high students with five virtual workshops focused on developing and honing entrepreneurial skills. I’m glad our Chamber can take the lead on investing and supporting tomorrow’s leaders today by offering relevant and real-world knowledge.
Sessions from the Jr. CEO program include business fundamentals, designing a logo, cost models, safety/food preparation, marketing, customer service, and money management. Each workshop will be led by Chamber staff and an area business leader. Along with a virtual presentation, participants will receive an interactive workbook for each session. It’s our goal that skills learned through this program will support a child’s future professional and personal success.
Tuition is only $25 per student or $40 per family. A virtual kick-off/informational meeting for interested participants will be held at 6:00 P.M. on February 8, 2023. Registration is open until February 21 at https://www.atascaderochamber.org/.
For those individuals or organizations that want to help support us with this program, please reach out! It takes a community to support the young entrepreneurs of our future. We’re currently accepting sponsorships; please call me at 805-466-2044 or email me at josh@atascaderochamber.org.
I can’t wait to see how these young entrepreneurs contribute their talents to our community. By creating opportunities like the Jr. CEO program that fosters and supports our youth – our community can achieve great things!
