Vaccination Progress

April Showers bring May Flowers although it doesn’t look like we will be seeing many showers in April. We are, however, getting many people vaccinated in our city, county, state and country in April which means family and friend encounters are on the horizon, yay! If you have not gotten vaccinated yet, the vaccines are now open to everyone 16 and older. Please make an appointment by going to www.myturn.ca.gov .
As COVID-19 numbers continue dropping, more vaccinated people are able to visit family and friends who they haven’t seen in months. Even though so many of us are vaccinated, we do still need to wear masks and practice social distancing until more of us are vaccinated and the numbers decline further.
Soon, we will be able to gather in larger groups and enjoy activities such as outdoor concerts, weddings and festivals. Personally, I can’t wait until more activities start back at the Sunken Gardens so I can watch all the fun from across the street at Dignity Health Urgent Care.
The Atascadero Chamber of Commerce did a great job with the virtual Speakeasy event in April! It was a lot of fun but can’t wait until we can all be together in person for future chamber and city events!
Keep wearing masks, social distancing and getting vaccinated. We’ll see each other in person real soon!
