Atascadero, Calif. – February 23, 2026 – The future of entrepreneurship is bright in San Luis Obispo County as more than 75 youth-run businesses prepare to launch at the upcoming Jr. CEO Business Day, taking place on Sunday, April 12, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Sunken Gardens in Atascadero.
Hosted by the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce, this high-energy, community-centered event invites the public to shop, explore, and support a new generation of local entrepreneurs. From handmade goods and creative crafts to food, games, and innovative services, each booth represents a business built entirely by a young CEO.
The Jr. CEO Business Day marks the culmination of the Chamber’s Jr. CEO Program, a hands-on entrepreneurial experience designed for youth ages 6–18. Over the course of five weeks, participants develop their business ideas from the ground up, learning how to create a product, build a brand, manage finances, and pitch their business with confidence.
Through a combination of guided sessions by local business leaders, students gain practical skills in business basics, creativity, and problem-solving. Business Day serves as their official launch, giving participants the opportunity to bring their ideas to life in a public marketplace setting.
“This event is one of the most inspiring days of the year for our community,” said Josh Cross, President & CEO of the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce. “These young entrepreneurs show incredible initiative, creativity, and courage. When you attend Jr. CEO Business Day, you’re not just making a purchase, you’re investing in the next generation of business leaders.”
The community is encouraged to attend, meet the young CEOs, and support their ventures. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
